Year-Round UV Eye Protection

UV exposure can increase the risk of eye conditions such as cataracts, macular degeneration, and growths in and around the eye.

It is important to protect the eyes and skin from UV light all year round. Though UV light levels are lower in the winter, they are still present. Wearing eye protection during the winter is especially important on snowy days, when UV exposure can increase due to the reflection of sunlight.

Advanced Lens Protection

The ultraviolet (UV) spectrum includes UVA (315–400 nm), UVB (280–315 nm), and UVC (100–280 nm) rays. UV 400 lenses, like VAIHARI lenses, block 100% wavelengths up to 400 nanometers, covering 100% of both UVA and UVB rays.

Category 3 sun lenses block 82–92% of visible light, making them highly effective for eye protection. Please note: They are not suitable for driving at night or in low-light conditions.

Anti-reflective lenses reduce glare and can therefore improve clarity.
